Sean Breathnach and Gary Thornton, two of GCH's star athletes, both had big wins in Santry at the National Championships earlier today. In the field, Sean won the Shot Putt with a massive 16.31m. While on the track, Gary won the 10,000m in 29:18. This year's National Championships are a bit earlier than usual due to the European Championships, with the majority of Ireland's top athletes competing - helped by the AAI's directive that all athletes hoping for selection need to compete at the Nationals. Sean also finished the day with a silver medal in the 56lbs for Height.

I know many in the club use Garmin watches (particularly the forerunner series) as their constant running partners, but having experienced operational issues myself (mainly a display not functioning correctly) with my own early-model Garmin Forerunner405, you may be interested to note that there is a wealth of good online information available for watch support and to help diagnose problems if they do arise.
