Final Word On Craughwell/Fit4Life 5K

SA400619rGCH's Eve Daly summed up the Craughwell/Fit4Life event from her perspective as follows:

Another great day for GCH Fit4Life with around 22 runners taking to the country roads around Craughwell in their second very popular Fit4Life 5km. Séamus Coyne was third home overall and Nicola Deacy the first woman home. There were some great performances with Trish Carr improving her 5km time from last year by over 8 mins. A super effort by Yvonne O'Brien saw her pass four ladies up that steep hill to the finish. Gina Concannon ran a strong race - even more impressive was the fact she cycled out from Galway first. Runners like Olga McMahon, Bridget Scanlon, Maeve Joyce, Yvonne Francis, Mary Hughes, Olga McMahon, and Colm Brady all ran their first 5km non-stop which is a great achievement so well done all! (I will have to push you all a bit harder from now on). On behalf of all our runners I would like to thank Craughwell AC for hosting such a great event and a special thanks to the pacers who where all spot on with their timing.

Eve has also supplied a nice set of her own photos from the day (including some great group shots) which have been added to the last page of the existing album:
