A large number of the club are in action competing and taking part in events this weekend. Nenagh is hosting the National Combined Events and Relays Championships Saturday and Sunday.

Three of GCH's top T&F athletes Sean Breathnach, Eanna O'Cathain and Cliff Jennings are competing. Sean and Eanna are combining for the 2x56lbs and the 2xShot. Cliff is on tomorrow in the 60m, LJ, HJ and Shot.

The men's 3x800 trio of Eddie Costello, Joe O'Donnell and Brendan Glynn will be on the start line shortly and hoping to do well. Patrick O'Malley is also in action already in the combined events, comprising the 60m Hurdles, Long Jump, High Jump and 100m events, held in that order over the course of today.

A large contingent of red and white are expected to descend on Athenry tomorrow for the Athenry 10k. The race starts at 1:30pm and there will be a number of entries will be available on the day, on a first come first served basis from 12 O'Clock.
