GCH juveniles had a very successful competition at the Connacht indoors. Despite a number of high profile athletes such as Rachel Shaw away with the Irish squad in Portugal, Irene Gorman & Caoimhe Daniels Leaving Cert mocks & Rebecca Nolan injury, missing the event, there were many fine performances.

Laura Ann Costello had a fine double in the under 12 girls 60m & long jump. Alanna Lally also had a double winning the 60m & 600m under 13. Caoimhe Esslement had a fine 60m & 200m double in the under 18 girls age group. Sean Diskin had a treble in the under 17 age group winning the 200m, 800m & high jump. Deirdre Lally was very impressive winning the under 15 60m as were Simon O'Shaughnessy & Colm Hughes winning the boys under 13 60m & 600m respectively. In addition 11 relay teams qualified for the All-Ireland's in April.
