Boston Scientific staged a wonderful 5km charity road race in Maree on Wednesday night, in aid of Galway Cystic Fibrosis. The evening was balmy and the course around Maree was definitely undulating but many GCH club members turned up to support and some even came away with the crystal. Gerry Ryan was 1st with Ruaidhri Geraghty 3rd. Mary McHugh was back to winning ways with 1st Vet woman and Bernie Kelly was 2nd while Ian Egan took 1st Vet man, coming in just behind Ruaidhri in 4th overall. Don Deacy had another great run and keeps getting better, with Nicola Deacy not far behind.
