Many thanks to regular streets competitor Gerard Conway who has once again supplied us with a full-blown statistical analysis of this year's race using TIBCO Spotfire data-analysis software - as per: SOG - 2013. This data can be sliced and diced in any number of ways so you can enjoy comparing your performance with various peer-groups.
The Kearney’s Cycles Streets of Galway Organizing Committee wants to thank you all those people who volunteered their time to ensure that this year’s race was a great success. We estimate that up to 200 people helped us on August 9 and August 10 including 80 people who volunteered as race marshalls, over 40 people who helped to distribute at the 5K mark and at the finish, and 30 people who helped us to distribute the race packs in a timely and efficient manner.

Something Old, Something New
The 28th running of the Streets of Galway 8K road-race (sponsored by local company Kearney Cycles) will take place this year at 7pm on the evening of Saturday 10th August next.
As per usual, all participants will be treated to the usual exciting night of road-racing through the streets of Galway city and suburbs. First-timers and returning entrants alike however, should note some minor changes to the course this year to allow for recent alterations to the road-configuration in the Claddagh area of our city.
Official Streets of Galway 8K road-race sponsor Kearney Cycles have just launched an online competition for all those who enter and run this year's road-race. Please visit their web-site here for more details.
